I had the same concern about messing up the warranty so I checked with AMP about not using the OBDII port but installing them with door push switches and the bypass switch. The steps are for a 2017-2019 model years. I installed the AMP steps with dual motors two months ago. So I have a 2020 Lariat Super Cab that I ordered without steps. So, the steps will remain in their box until further notice, and I'll have to get some springy shoes for my wife! □Īnyway, just thought I'd share that with anyone interested in those steps. There may be an incompatibility issue, or there may not be, but if I fry the trucks ECU, I'm screwed in terms of warranty from Ford AND Amp. His advice to me was to wait until the AMP engineers have cleared my steps for use on the 2022. Guys were actually damaging their truck's ECU! Long story short (too late for that?), there was an incompatibility issue with the 2021 Ford ECU, and the 2020 Amp Research controller. He told a story of guys installing 2020 Powersteps in their 2021 F-150's a year or so ago, much like I was planning to do with the SD. The new 104,000 square foot facility features ceilings approximately 45 feet high, allowing isles to house 12 stacked pallets for product compared to eight in its previous complex.
